Nitya, your newsletters are so informative and entertaining. I tried morning pages but it was hard to fit in my schedule especially not being a morning person! While I am on sabbatical though, I am writing extensively. Please send your book lists that you can’t get in India, we’ll send it with Ashok.
Just discovered you and enjoying this concept of the AAW. A liminal space where the magic happens! I'm going to pay attention to that and dive into those moments.
Hi Nitya, I'm your dad's cousin, Neela (my mom was Dula). I love this! It's funny and quirky and interesting, kind of like Misras.
My sleep ritual is :
1. Turn on the "Sleep with Me" or "Everyday Systems" podcast.
2) Lay on my right side for 5 minutes,
3) experience right hip pain,
4) lay on my left side.
I don't get it but it works.
I read "Writing Down the Bones" and she suggested morning pages. I have been wanting to make that a regular part of my routine but I guess not badly enough. But when I'm confused or agitated, I sit down and type 500 words quickly, no backspacing. I almost always have clarity when I'm done. Then I immediately delete everything I wrote because no way do I want anyone reading that ever.
Anyway, great work! I subscribed and I don't subscribe to anything.
As always great reading. You have a head which thinks in so many different ways. So well read at a young age. Keep going

Loved this!
Love this 💚 I've been thinking of writing in the morning too! Reading-writing-getting to my day. Going to take this as a sign to start.
